Anchor Point Marine Consultants has worked to assist IDESSit in the creation of CASys, a computerised seafarer competence assurance system.

This included developing competencies for all seafarer functions to meet safety, operational and environmental requirements.

 

Competencies have also been developed for specific vessel types, including tanker, chemical tanker and dynamically positioned dive support vessels.

Scripts, storyboards and production review and oversight have been provided for computer-based learning programmes including: —

  • FPSO induction.
  • Offshore crane operations.
  • Forklift truck operations.
  • Personnel transfer operations.
  • Lifting equipment certification and inspection.
  • Risk assessment and lift categorisation.
  • Galley operations and food handling.
  • MLC 2006 introduction and on-board responsibilities.
  • Task and workload management.
  • Vessel structural condition monitoring.
  • Cold weather preparations.
  • Gas monitoring equipment.

  • US coast Vessel General Permit and Small Vessel General Permit procedures.

 

Thousands of assessment questions in support of these modules and for use in iTest 2016 have also been compiled.

 

The re-design and functional structure of IDESSit’s  iTest 2016 multiple choice test programme was supervised and overseen by Anchor Point Marine Consultants.
